Concert!

Last night was the first concert of the semester and it was great! It started off a little rocky with our directir forgetting to bring us in on one song, but it ended great. The last song chorale sang was called "My Soul's Been Anchored In The Lord" by Moses Hogan, and if you haven't heard it, I suggest you do! It's pretty powerful =) After the concert a big bunch of us, probably around 25 people, went and ate at Mellow Mushroom and just had a fun time! Here are some pictures we took in the dressing rooms before the concert.

Haircut! (Again)

I got a new haircut again and this time I love it!! Here's a picture =)

On other terms, tonight is the first concert of the semester for my chorale (FCCJ) and I'm so excited! I just love when we have concerts. I'll be putting up pictures of it tomorrow =)I also think the weather today is just gorgeous! After rehearsal, I went with a group of choir girls to Angie's subs at the beach and had a great time! I just love when it's warm and sunny like this =)

Spring Fashion

Here are some looks I will be wearing this spring!! Enjoy =)

Find me on Polyvore
Oh how I long for summer! I'm already tired of the cold weather =/ And yes, I do live in Florida, but it DOES get cold here! I can't wait for spring break to start so I can go to the beach =) I've gone once this winter but it was too windy to stay for a long time. I'm having a hard time deciding on which bathing suit to get as well. I like these a lot. Which do you like the best? Any comments?

In other news, not much is going on with me. Just the same ol' going to school and doing homework, besides of course being with Jon and my friends =) I desperately need to find a job, though! Ah! I'm looking foward to this weekend! I may go shopping =)

Valentine's Day!

This Valentine's Day was the best I've ever had because I spent it with the one I love most! Jon surprised me with roses first thing that morning which was really sweet, but it was 9 AM! Haha it's ok I still love him =) Here are the flowers!

After that I spent the morning/afternoon cleaning and baking a surprise for him! I baked him some delicious lemon bars and made a sweet card with heart cut outs and a picture of us, and of course I wrote him something special! Then we ended up cooking dinner together that night, complete with steak, a potato, mushrooms, and broccoli. It was very yummy! I have to say I appreciate him a lot and our relationship is getting even more stronger! The 26th of this month marks eight months we've been together and I've loved every second of it! Here are some more pictures =)

So I haven't posted in a while... My life just isn't that exciting I have to say! School is starting to pile on the homework, so that's definitely keeping me busy. Geography is my hardest class, mainly because the teacher is crazy and rude! Thank the Lord I only have like two months left of school forever =) I really need to start applying to cosmetology schools and seeing what kind of scholarships they have. All the good schools I'm interested in run around $10,000 to $12,000! And that's only for 9 months! I definitely don't have that just laying around, so I'm praying that God will provide for me! I know he will.

One of my new year's resolutions was to learn a new instrument... Well, I decided that I'm going to learn to play acoustic guitar! One of my friend's plays and he said that he would teach me! Haha I have high hopes of playing like Bethany Dillon or Colbie Callait =) The video below is one of the first songs I'm going to learn, and I'll sing while I play too!

Busy!

Wow, my life is so busy and I didn't even realize it! This past weekend our FCCJ choir had to go to a music conference which was very interesting. All the different community college choirs in Florida came together to form one BIG choir, and man was it loud! We had about 15 hours of rehearsals within 3 days, and then a concert on Saturday, so it was very time consuming! But I learned a good bit from it. (Hopefully I can apply this knowledge to my voice student!)
This is a picture of the 2nd Soprano section from the conference. I'm in the middle with a purple shirt in case you can't tell ;)

Some of the girls in my chorale at the Saturday concert: Mallary, Dana, Me, and Bethany

I'm also busy with school (what college student isn't?) and trying to figure out where I should go this summer. In May I'll receive my AA in Music and then in the summer I plan to start Cosmetology school! I am SO excited about that! My top 3 schools here in town are: The Paul Mitchell School, Riverside Hairstyling Academy, and FCCJ's program.

In two weeks I'm starting a Bible study with a group of my friends which will be so exciting! We are doing the new Beth Moore study "Stepping Up: A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent" and I will be leading the first session. I will update on what I'm learning when we start it!

I don't have THAT much to update on right now, I'm just praying I get through this week! I have 2 exams to study for and I have to write a paper =( But I'm looking foward to being done with college =)
